Rumi was a Persian Poet born 800 years ago. His poems contain fables you will recognize. His followers established the tradition of whirling dances that is still said to bring the devout close to the meaning of the world. Build a pair of whirling Dervishes whose robes twirl in seductive waves. (English scientist Neil Downie explains the math and physics of these waves.)
Construct an elephant or a camel & a mouse in the Turkish or Persian style to illustrate one of Rumi's fables.
A project of 9/11 at ten: Explorations between East and West.
