Massachusetts' Beetle family applied Eli Whitney's system of manufacturing to constructing whaleboats. The Beetle name meant efficient, quality production. By the 1920s there was no more whaling in New England. The family created a now famous line of small, rugged, gaff-rigged cat boats – perfect for sport or pleasure. Build and rig your own 14" Beetle Cat.
Learn to sail and race it on our specially constructed pond. Construct your crew to scale.
